Insta Lately

Happy TUESDAY!!

Wildfox makes the softest, most cozy sweatshirts ever! I couldn't find these shorts for my widget, but the brand is Sun & Shadow from Nordstrom and you can find them on sale here.

I purchased this top from Sashy Pants Boutique (@sashypants2 in instagram) and you can get it here for $30. It is so so soft, and I just saw that they came out with a dress version in the same fabric. I scored these cognac (my favorite color!!) sandals from Nordstrom Rack a couple of weeks ago and have worn them non-stop since.

How cute is this jumpsuit? It is so comfortable too. I bought it a couple of summers ago in Palm Springs. I think it's BCBG or Max Studio. I'm thinking I need a couple more jumpsuits in my closet ;)  Here is the link to my gold cuff.

I bought these AG jeans at the AG outlet in Vegas in March. They are so comfortable.

I purchased these jeans at Nordstrom Rack almost a year ago and I am obsessed with this brand. I was just researching them a little more and they are SO cute and extremely affordable! I am in need of some new jeans so some more Vigoss is definitely in my future.

I just realized my hair looks the same in almost all of these pictures. I think that means it's time to call my hairstylist and book an appointment. I haven't had a cut since the day I went into labor with Calvin (about 13.5 months ago). It's probably time for a little trim ;)

MAKING A STATEMENT

Who's ready for Christmas!? I am! I absolutely love the holidays and all things sparkly and shiny. I love having an excuse to dress up and wear sequins or a red lip and really stand out. This holiday season has been slightly different though. It is so much more difficult to find outfits that are flattering on me, (my bump) that look respectable and aren't too overdone. I've found that the best way to still dress up my look is to wear whatever fits, (ha!) and use statement jewelry to do the dressing up.
I purchased this gorgeous necklace online from the Happiness Boutique and am in love. I love how it's kind of vintage but modern as well. Super cute!! Happiness Boutique offers free shipping (I know, right?!) and they not only have statement jewelry but great daintier (is this a word?) pieces as well. You can't beat the prices and they also have a reward program and a giveaway twice per month. I love finding cute little shops like this that don't break the bank!

My bump! It's getting bigger every day. EEK! I wore this to Christmas dinner with J (we always celebrate our own little Christmas ;) and it was catching the light all night long. Love sparkles!

Dress, old from topshop, Similar Here // Clutch // Necklace // iPhone case // Bracelet // Ring

I got this dress around my birthday last year so it's been almost a year! I love how it made my bump look though. It was really simple, and like I said, I think that's the best way to wear statement jewelry. I don't like too much going on at once. You guys can check out the pages (and pages!) of jewelry at Happiness Boutique by clicking here.

LIFE LATELY - CAMERA ROLL

Sweater // Necklace sold out, similar here // Watch // iPhone case (ignore my nasty nails)

Socks, old similar here and love these and these

Sweater // Necklace, old - Similar here // Earrings

Dinner at Port Fonda w/ my friend Amy.

Port Fonda just opened up in my city (there is one in Westport - KC, MO) and we had friends in town so we decided to try it out. I didn't get to try any of the AMAZING looking drinks, however the chicken chimichanga with chipotle cream sauce was a pregnant woman's dream..... Will definitely be going back...a lot!

Nikes - I wrapped these so I could open them again ;)

And of course I have to put up a pic of Lucy. She is so sweet, she wouldn't move to let me make the bed so I had to make it around her :)

Top // Nail Polish - Kennebunk Port by OPI

These are just a few of the looks I've worn lately and random pictures I've had sitting on my camera roll. As my belly gets bigger finding clothes that not only fit, but look good too has been quite the challenge. I'm a work in progress for sure.

Blaze

Top // Blazer also love this and this // Flares // Wedges // Bag // Watch // Necklace // Earrings (similar)

One of my favorite ways to dress up a simple outfit is to throw a blazer on. Nothing fussy, nothing fancy, just a simple blazer. Whether you're wearing a t-shirt and jeans, or already have on nice pants and a nice blouse, a blazer pulls together the entire look and makes an outfit look professional. I usually prefer a casual look, however sometimes situations demand more dressy attire, and this look is just so easy to achieve.
I have so many blazers in my closet and I recently vowed to start wearing them. I purchased this one from Target (love me some Tar-jay) years ago and it's still my go to black. There's something more casual about this blazer than any of my suit blazers (or suit jackets) so I love wearing this one with jeans.

GIRL CRUSH: OLIVIA PALERMO

J was out of town this weekend and I spent most of it shopping, playing with makeup looks, organizing my closet, and pinning. An Ulta opened in my city and I had to check that out and also went by TJ Maxx. I love TJ Maxx and even got a couple Christmas decorations. I couldn't help myself. And Ulta was great, but I am a very loyal Sephora shopper. However, I did purchase this highlighter and a new Essie nail polish just to welcome Ulta to town ;)
On to my "girl crush." Olivia Palermo is one of my favorite fashionistas. OP has probably been on the fashion and style scene since she was a child, but I took notice of her when she was on MTV's "The City." I love her All American girl style. She is so polished and chic; whenever I see pictures of her I always think, "I need to step up my game." It's her ability to accessorize and the detail that goes into her outfits that make her stand out from the others.

Not to mention, her complexion is flawless and her makeup and hair are always on point.
Whether she's in a suit or jeans she appears professional and polished. She nails every single look. And so many of her outfits can be easily recreated with basics from your closet. When I get stuck for outfits, sometimes I'll search her in pinterest and get tons of inspiration. She is very photographed, there's no shortage of pictures of her on the internet.

BLACK PLAID

Plaid Top // Black Denim // Booties // Crossbody Bag // Necklace // Sunglasses // Ring // Lips (in color 17, Encore Rose)

I gravitate toward black clothing and although there are so many great colored plaids out there, (like in this post) I couldn't pass up this black plaid. This top is really long so it can be worn with leggings, and it comes in 8 different color options. If there is one trend you should go for this fall, it's plaid because it's such a classic print that you can wear it year after year without going out of style.

These black skinnies are another piece of black out of my closet where I'm definitely getting my money's worth. They are a really soft denim and super comfy, although I think they're getting a little snug already ;)
